Privacy Update

Hello members of the CZQM FIR,

Unfortunately, there was recently an incident involving one of our members in which they were made to feel unsafe, and unwelcome by a member of the greater VATSIM community. This level of hate has no place on the VATSIM network and especially has no place within our FIR.

I am proud to say that the CZQM community is the most supportive and welcoming community I have every been a part of and I am so happy to be able to call it home. While we can always do our best to spread kindness and love, there are unfortunately others who try to take away our sense of safety and security on the network.

In response to this incident, we have added the option to allow members to hide their name, either partially or fully, on our website. This is there to help members protect their privacy should they feel the need. For now, this only affects our website however will be soon expanded to our Discord server as well. This option can be found here or under myCZQM > Preferences > Privacy > Display Name.

Should you ever have any concerns regarding your safety or the safety of others within our community. Please reach out to a member of staff. We want you to have the best experience possible in the CZQM community.
